ESRO 2, also known as ESRO II-B, was the second satellite launched by the European Space Research Organisation (ESRO), preceding the European Space Agency (ESA). ESRO 2 was primarily a scientific mission aimed at studying the Earth's magnetosphere and cosmic radiation. It carried instruments to measure charged particles in Earth's magnetosphere and to study cosmic rays.
